Meet the Crew
Captain
Hello, my name is Roberto Nunez Togo, I come from a long line of fisherman starting with my great grandfather down to my own son. It’s safe to say it’s in my blood, however, as a young man I rebelled against my genetics and chose to be a maintenance man for an American homeowner, I remained loyal for 10 years even though I hated it and thought it was the most boring thing in the world. I finally gave into my born fate and ventured into the world of sportfishing… To this day I have almost 40 years of experience and I wouldn’t change it for anything. My days spent with Viviana’s sport fishing are nothing short of amazing. As I get older, I am grateful to be able to have the best office with magnificent views and the ability to teach my passion to strangers every day. I have conceded and accepted that I was born a fisherman and I will die a fisherman.
Deckhand
Hello, my name is Luis Alejandro Vargas I am 22 years old, I was born in Zihuantanejo, Mexico. Moving to Los Cabos with my family has allowed me to follow in my father’s footsteps not only in his passion of fishing but also in this company, my father is the captain of Viviana I. Growing up with a family of fisherman not only gave me the skills needed but the desire to be the best. I strive everyday to learn new aspects whether it be about the fish themselves or the tackle needed to hook them, understanding to read the water and interpret the many factors of the ocean. Fishing can be very simple and at the same time very complex, having that ability to understand helps me be able to teach my customer what we are doing, why we are doing it and where to do it best given the weather and temperature of the water. As a deckhand I am in the center of the action on fishing days and learning the mechanics of the boat on dock days. My great accomplishments to date would be catching a 264lbs tuna and 300lbs blue marlin in the presence of wonderful tourists. I take every encounter with customers as an opportunity to be better not only as a deckhand/fisherman but as a host. I pride myself in giving them the best experience imaginable and helping them make memories they will share for years to come with friends and family. I am young, eager and love to fish!
