Meet the Crew
Captain
Hello, my name is Alberto Sotelo Tacuba, also known as Chivo. I am 46 years old and was born in a beautiful town called Zihuantanejo, Mexico. I have been fishing for 20 years, 18 of those years spent here in Cabo San Lucas. I have worked For Viviana’s Sportfishing for 14 years, in those years I have had the pleasure to meet great customers I now call friends. The best adventure I can share is when we were fishing, and we snagged a swordfish which ended in a 4.5-hour fight.
Deckhand
My name is Lalo, I started fishing when I was 8 years old, my father would bring me fishing from time to time since I was still in school. By the time I was 13 my interest in fishing had taken over and I decided to dedicate all my free time to learning everything needed to become the best fisherman. I now have 4 years of experience; I am 17 years old and have been working with Viviana’s for 6 months. The charter world has opened many opportunities for me, it has helped me grow not only as a fisherman but as a young adult. I’ve learned different techniques, how to approach the fish as they fight and different tools used in certain situations. The best memory thus far would be when we hooked a 250 pound tuna and I didn’t know what to do, as a young and new fisherman, luckily, I have a great mentor/captain and he guided me, and I was able to gaff the fish and get it onboard. It was a great day not only for the customer but for me as well!
